Onboarding Terms and Conditions

1. Applicability and Acceptance

These terms and conditions are applicable to any person starting the Expert onboarding process to become a 'Resident' on the mobile application proposed to be developed and made available by Dreamplug Technologies Private Limited (CRED). By initiating the Expert onboarding process via any mobile application or website and verifying your phone number via OTP, You agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (Terms).

2. Information Collection

As a part of the onboarding process you agree to provide truthfully, accurately and without any third party assistance:
  • Basic Contact Information: This may include without limitation: Your full name, a valid email address, and an Indian phone number.
  • Expertise: You must select an area of expertise from the predefined list or provide a custom description.
  • Professional Identity: Details of your professional identity and experience which may include, without limitation: a PDF resume; a valid LinkedIn URL, both of the aforementioned or any other details requested by CRED.
  • Social Profiles: Social media links such as your website, Instagram, X (Twitter), and YouTube profiles.
  • Video Pitch: A video recording, either by uploading a pre-recorded file or recording directly in-browser. Videos must be in .mp4 or .mov format, not exceed 100MB, and be no longer than 1 minute, or of such other technical specifications as may be specified by CRED (Video Recording).
  • Additional Information: Any other information that CRED may request over email or otherwise.
You agree and acknowledge that incomplete or inaccurate responses shall be disregarded by CRED.

3. Data collection Purpose, Storage, and Processing

Your privacy is paramount to us. We collect, process, and store information only as required to provide and improve our services, and we take reasonable steps to keep it protected. You hereby agree and acknowledge that:
  • Purpose: The information and data You provide is being collected for the purpose of shortlisting appropriate experts for the mobile application as well as for reviewing and verifying the professional experience and credentials submitted by you.
  • Storage: CRED either directly or through its subcontractors shall store all the information submitted during the course of the onboarding process in a queryable database for review and processing. Upon successful OTP verification, all entered data shall be saved as a draft for up to 90 days even if not finally submitted in order to allow You to resume an incomplete application from where You left off.
  • Third Party Processing: Any information or data collected from You may be shared with third parties for further processing for the Purpose set out above. Further, CRED utilizes third-party tools to track user events, including application starts, video assessments, file uploads, and errors. You consent to your data being processed by these third-parties for analytics and application management purposes in addition to the Purpose.

4. Video Pitch Terms

You represent, warrant and covenant that:
  • (i) The Video Recording is of You, does not misrepresent any other person and has not been produced or enhanced using any artificial intelligence tool.
  • (ii) You have all rights and title necessary to upload and share the Video Recording with CRED.
  • (iii) By uploading the Video Recording, you grant CRED a six-month, worldwide, royalty free licence to use the Video Recording. You also agree to indemnify and hold harmless CRED from any third party claims regarding intellectual property in connection with the uploaded Video Recording.
  • (iv) The Video Recording does not violate any applicable law and specifically is not obscene or denigrating to any person. You acknowledge that CRED shall have the right to report any possibly illegal content to relevant law enforcement authorities.

5. Communications and Marketing

As a part of the onboarding process you consent to the following:
  • Application Notifications: Receiving success confirmations and application status updates (e.g., "Under Review," "Accepted," or "Rejected").
  • Reminders: Receiving automated reminders via WhatsApp or Email if you drop off mid-application.
  • Promotional Content: Receiving information regarding the events and marketing campaigns related to the proposed mobile application.

6. Disclaimers

No Fee:
You are reminded that CRED does not charge any fee for review and processing of Expert onboarding applications. Any person(s) claiming to represent CRED and requesting payment of a fee for review and/or processing of the export onboarding application are likely to be fraudsters and you are encouraged to not pay any such person(s) and report them to CRED in writing instead. CRED shall not be responsible if you suffer any financial or other loss on account of payments made to such persons.
No relationship:
Merely starting the Expert onboarding process or submitting all the information requested in the expert onboarding journey does not establish any relationship between you and CRED, whether as an employee or independent contractor. You shall not have any authority whatsoever to represent CRED to any other person(s).

7. Application Status

Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance as a Resident on the proposed mobile application. CRED reserves the right to review and accept or reject applications at its sole discretion. CRED shall not be required to provide, and You shall not be entitled to receive any explanation in relation to an acceptance or rejection.
Acceptance as a Resident also shall not automatically entitle You to any consideration or payment by CRED and shall only entitle you to the next stage of review of the services agreement proposed to be executed between You and CRED.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India and any dispute arising from this shall be subject to exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru (Urban) district.

9. Undertaking

You hereby represent and warrant that all information submitted by You are true, accurate, current, and complete. You acknowledge that providing false or misleading information constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
